Cooking Instructions
PREPARE FROM THAWED.
- Pierce the top of the pork pouch and the vegetable pouch and place them on a microwave-safe dish. Thaw in the microwave, on defrost setting, 5 to 6 minutes. Thaw salsa pouch in warm water for 5 to 10 minutes. CAUTION: Do not put salsa pouch in microwave.
- Alternatively, thaw all pouches in refrigerator for 24 hours.
STOVE TOP:
- For best results, use non-stick medium size skillet.
- Heat 2 tbsp (30 mL) of oil on MEDIUM heat.
- Empty pork pouch contents into the pan. Use tongs or two forks to separate the pork.
- In a small bowl, combine seasoning pouch contents and 1/3 cup (80 mL) of water. Mix well.
- Add prepared seasoning mixture to pan and simmer 5 minutes, or until thoroughly heated. Stir occasionally.
- In a separate pan, heat 1 tbsp (15 mL) of oil on MEDIUM heat.
- Cut a small corner from the vegetable pouch to drain excess liquid.
- Add vegetables to the second pan and heat 3 minutes, stirring occasionally. **OPTIONAL: Combine the pork and vegetables in the same pan.
- Remove tortillas from packaging. Warm in microwave 30 to 60 seconds before serving.
NOTE:
TO SERVE:
- Place shredded pork in tortilla shell.
- Garnish with heated vegetables.
- Serve with included salsa.
