A few weeks ago, M&M Food Market turned 40. It’s a major accomplishment and something we wanted to celebrate, but it’s difficult to do so against the backdrop of the pandemic. My team and I have also been busy planning for the upcoming holiday season, a time of year when we pause and enjoy a meal in the company of good friends and family. This year will undoubtedly be different for many families. The past several months have been exceedingly difficult for so many but as December approaches, we hope Canadians will find a measure of joy and happiness when it’s needed most.
I’m reaching out today with details on how M&M Food Market remains committed to you and your safety. I also want to share helpful information about changes we’re making to serve you even better. No matter your plans this holiday season, our goal is to be here for you with convenient shopping choices you might not have considered.
Shop comfortably and safely in our stores
Since the beginning of the pandemic, our number one priority has been the health and well-being of our customers and team members. We will continue all of our in-store safety measures including limiting the number of people allowed in our stores at one time to meet distancing requirements. We also require that all customers wear a mask while shopping and our in-store team will do the same. Staff will also adhere to a strict hand-washing policy and rigorous sanitization procedures carried out several times per day.
We understand that lineups can be a challenge but our Meal Advisors will be there to help. We’re also extending our service beyond the four walls of our stores. In the event that a store is at capacity, you can expect to be greeted and assisted outside while you await entry. For us, it’s about helping you get the most from your time and providing the best experience possible.
Shop early for the products you need
We get it. We’re all extremely busy and that inevitably leads to an eleventh-hour holiday rush. We’re reminding shoppers that some of our busiest days are in December, and as we work hard to follow safety guidelines, we expect an even busier season than usual. With this in mind, we’re encouraging customers to please think about purchasing their food well ahead of time. To help our customers plan and save money, we’re changing our inventories and running holiday promotions earlier than we’ve ever done before.
Our new holiday products will be in our stores by Thursday, November 12th, which is much earlier than previous years. Historically, promotions on select holiday items occur in late December. This year, our holiday promotions will commence on November 12th, offering shoppers the opportunity for great savings much earlier in the season.
We’ll also be launching a new Lowest Price of the Season Guarantee on November 12th, which will help customers make purchases with confidence that they’re getting the best price available for the holidays on many of our seasonal favourites.
Shop conveniently online from the comfort of your home
We love to see our customers and the opportunity to offer our expert, in-person meal advice. It’s what we’ve done for four decades and is part of what defines M&M Food Market. However, we’ve also been working to enhance our online shopping options to save time while minimizing store lineups. We’d love for you to shop online whenever possible and we have many options available:
- Free online ordering with same-day pickup at all of our stores, making it even quicker and easier to shop with us.
- Curbside pickup is available at every store. Select this option when you order online and we’ll bring your food to your car when you arrive.
- Delivery is also available from many of our stores in partnership with Instacart. With this option you can have our products delivered right to your doorstep.
